Great 1940s Silvertone Wood AM Tube Radio - Nice Condition - Missing Batteries

44.99

Very cool vintage wood radio from the 1940s, manufactured for Sears Roebuck & Co under the Silvertone name. The last owner of the radio told me that it was a "farm radio," which would have derived power from a battery connected to a mill. I'll take his word for that!

What I can say is that the wood chassis of the radio is in very nice condition, with the warm tones of the wood really coming through. Dial also looks very nice.

Mechanically, I can't test this machine as it is missing batteries or another power source. Repair/display item! Tubes all look good though and interior of machine is relatively clean.
